I am so, so, so sorry I haven’t posted in weeks, but real life is just being the worst right now. There’s a lot of things going on and I just really can’t be on here to para. I’m sorry guys. I don’t know when I’ll be back.
She gave him a weird look. “What do you mean? I’ve barely started here, and I don’t want people hating me already.” She followed as much as she could, a task that was hard considering her short legs were nothing compared to his long ones. She stooped when he showed her another path.
“Okay then… Last one to the end pays!” She said running as fast as she possibly could toward the end of the road. She knew it wasn’t a good idea, when she ended up tripping and falling on the ground. She laughed and laid on the ground. Nothing was bleeding so that was a good sign. “You win I guess, by default.” She joked up at him. “The fact that Ive ended up on it, twice, is pretty amazing actually, I might be famous in this town already,” she said, getting up and brushing off and giggling.
“Oh, I don’t know if someone told you about La Rosa yet? It’s this rivaling school on the other end of town. There’s this feud that started back in the 40s I think, pretty vague stuff. Anyways, you basically don’t want to be seen talking to the ‘enemy’, but judging by Burnsberry News, I’m a little late with telling you that,” Basil giggled. “Don’t worry though, I’m sure they’ll forgive you, because you’re new and all that.”
“Watch out for the..-” Basil yelled, as Kristina took off, but he was too late. She tripped and fell over an exposed tree root. “..trees..” he added, barely audible. He jogged over to her, worried she might be hurt. She was already sitting up and laughing, though.
“You okay?” he asked, a bit confused. Socially acceptable human behavior wasn’t exactly his thing, but he was pretty sure people didn’t usually laugh when they fell face down into the dirt. “Nah, really, this victory is too easy, I’m still paying,” he laughed, when he was assured she was okay.
“Haha, yeah, you might be. You’re hard to miss, anyways, as far as I know not even the pretty actress girls of La Rosa measure up to you,” Basil blushed. Complimenting a girl? He didn’t exactly know what had come over him.
Kristina liked the way his chest felt, hard and somewhat shaky. She started walking behind him and caught up with him. “It was great actually, I met some great people they were very helpful. Whats there to do around here?” She walked out to the front of the school and looked around at all the green grass.
“Ah, that’s great. Yeah, people around here are quite nice, you just don’t wanna piss them off, then things can get.. ugly,” Basil mumbled as he tried to figure out what way to go. ”You know, if we go around here,” he pointed to some slightly overgrown path to the side of the school, “we avoid the rest of the students, as they usually go straight into town.” Basil paused for a moment, trying to decide if this was the best thing to do.
“I know this little coffee shop that’s way nicer than the one the rest of the town basically lives at.” He nodded at his own plan. Less chance of running into people was always a positive thing. ”Besides, you don’t wanna end up on Burnsberry News again, do you? Especially not with me, haha,” Basil joked.
She gently put her hand on his chest, “Are you breathing? Okay good!” She giggled. She gently pulled back once she remembered his past reactions. “Sorry,” she whispered, blushing a bit. She nodded at his question. “Yeah coffee sounds great. I havent seen much yet so I’ll probably be amazed by a lot of things.” She grabbed her purse and ran her fingers through her hair. “Lead the way!”
Basil’s heart jumped a bit when Kristina all of a sudden touched him. He mentally counted to three before making any weird sounds or moves, and by the time he’d got to three, he realized touching was probably a normal thing for her, so he let it go without freaking out like he usually would. Besides, it felt quite nice.
“Y-yeah, no, it’s..- It’s okay,” Basil stumbled on his words. “Yeah, you’ll certainly be amazed by this town,” Basil joked, as they walked to the main hall of the school. “So, how was your first day here?” Basil asked, as he pushed open the door to the school yard.

Kristina sat down on the bench that was right in the hallway. She heard footsteps coming, and she got a tiny bit scared, considering they sounded as if someone was about to run her over. She giggled a bit when she saw Basil running up. She stood up and left her bag on the bench. “Well, hello to you too!” she said.
“Base, breathe, come with me, in and out,” she laughed, jokingly making breathing motions. “I haven’t been waiting long.”
Basil laughed a bit uncomfortably when he realized he’d made a fool out of himself. This was what you got for trying to impress pretty girls. The world did obviously not want him to succeed in life.
“Ah, okay, great, well, shall we go then?” Basil opted, when he had finally caught his breath again. “I figured we could get coffee first? I don’t know if anyone told you anything about this town yet, or if there’s anything you definitely wanna see?”
Basil mentally giggled at the thought. Burnsberry was nice, but there weren’t exactly many places you definitely had to have seen in your lifetime.
Basil nearly sprinted down the hallways when he got Kristina’s text. Sprinted, yes. Basil, who absolutely detested any kind running, jogging or even skipping, really. After class he’d decided to quickly drop off his books and take a quick shower, and as a result he probably let her wait for at least a good ten minutes.
He felt like an ass, because really, who’d let a pretty attractive girl wait in the middle of a school she didn’t know at all, on her first day? An ass, exactly.
“I’m sorry!” Basil panted as he ran towards her. “I’m so sorry, I hope you haven’t been out here long, I thought I could.. and then.. and.. time.. Right.. Well.. Here I am!” He decided it would probably be a good thing if he’d just stop talking, ‘cause he was going nowhere with this, and he felt like he might pass out from a lack of oxygen.
I’m still here!
